Life. As we travel through it we encounter many situations…
Relationships. Responsibility. Hardships. Inspiration. Pain.
Life situations bring many questions.
I have always believed that questions are a sign of learning. For that reason, I view questions as a good thing. Have you ever spent hours with a little child who seems to have endless questions? If you are able to avoid being frustrated with the word, “Why?” and look with eyes of understanding, you will picture them like little baby birds with their mouths opened wide waiting to be filled with knowledge. The gift of learning is a beautiful thing.
When it comes to adult size situations and learning we become the baby bird with mouths wide open longing to have our questions answered. It is so reassuring to know that we have a reliable source to turn to with our questions.
Call me and I will answer you
and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
God doesn’t get annoyed with our desire to learn and understand.
In fact, He repeatedly invites us throughout scripture to “Come to Him” or “Call on Him”. He promises an answer. Of course, it may not be the answer we want to hear, but we know it will always be true. The resources of God’s knowledge are limitless. There are no boundaries and end to the depth answers available to us from God.
He has promised to share with us “Great and Unsearchable things”.
Is it possible that we have been searching for answers to questions that simply cannot be found anywhere else but from God? We could spend a lot of time and effort trying to understand or make sense of something without ever feeling resolved.
Until, finally we surrender and learn from God the “great and unsearchable things” He has to tell us. The thing to remember when we surrender to God all of our questions is that He is the teacher and we are the student. His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. It is then that our desire to learn is filled to overflowing. The anxiety of questions gives way to the peace… as we trade the anxiety of our thoughts for the mind of Christ.
Surrender all your questions to God today… He has every answer you need.
