The Key to Making Good Decisions

Every day we are faced with choices.

We we make decisions about what direction to take in life,  what kind of attitude we will have, what to eat, how to spend our time, who we spend that time with.

On and on it goes, a hundred choices laid before us every single day.

Each decision we make shapes our life and effects those around us.

Positions of leadership bring us to an entirely different level of decision making.  There are times in leadership when our decisions have the power to literally change someone else’s life.

The bigger the decision, the more intimating it is to make.

The key to making good choices is to listen to the voice of the One who makes perfect decisions every time…. God.

Isaiah 30:21. “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”

Recently, I had a rather big decision to make.  Which ever way I turned it was going to effect someone’s life in a significant way.   I was almost certain I was going to “turn right”.  I was actually in the middle of the turn and then…. I STOPPED and I prayed to the One who always knows which way is the best for each circumstance.  And He had me go left instead.  It was the better choice.

God is always with us.  He has divine wisdom for all our situations.

No matter whether you are turning left or right….STOP and pray and He will show you the way.

May all your choices be led with divine blessing this week.

  1. Thank you for sharing because it prompted me to put the verse you quoted over my desk as a reminder that He will always guide me, I just need to stay quiet and listen. Great post!
