Looking for Rainbows

“When it rains, it pours.”

You can either be the one complaining about the storm or you can be the one looking for the rainbow.  Which one are you?

Truth be told?  I’m both.

Sometimes the over-whelming circumstances get the best of me and I can be found ranting.  Just a little ranting (okay maybe a lot) but then I am also the type that will look for the promises of God in the midst of trouble as well.

I wish I was quicker to look for the rainbows when the storms of life hit because it’s when I am focused on God’s promises that I have the most hope and joy!

Whether a true tragedy has caused the storm or a bunch of little irritating things have added up over time; here’s a few hope-filled verses to help you “look for the rainbows” while you are going through it.

John 16:33 (NLT)
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

Proverbs 23:18 (NIV)
There is surely a future hope for you and your hope will not be cut off.

Romans 15:13 (NLT)
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

May God, who is THE source of hope, be YOUR source of hope today!
