In Awe of God

I am so very thankful that God always brings hope and restoration to every broken place.  This weekend my husband, Kurt and I celebrate our twenty-nineth wedding anniversary.  We have been through a lot, especially in the early years of our marriage.  I vulnerably share our story in my book, releasing next month. There was a time when the brokenness in our relationship seemed unrepairable; but nothing is impossible with God!

All these years later I still stand in complete awe of God.

No matter how dark our situations get… No matter how frail our humanity becomes… God is always more than able to bring hope and restoration.

When the holiness of God miraculously  touches us, our only response can be humility and awe.

Is there a broken place or relationship in your life right now?

Do you need the restoring touch of God in your life?

Don’t be discouraged… it’s often darkest just before the dawn, call out to God and keep calling out to Him, then get ready to stand in awe of all He has prepared for you.  God will move on your behalf…

“I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.” – Psalm 17:6

“How great is God—beyond our understanding!” – Job 36:26

  1. This is very encouraging to me right now. I’m 7 weeks away from giving birth to our 4th child, and my husband and I feel very stressed right now.

  2. “Don’t be discouraged” is a phrase that many should say to themselves in the times we are living; things will turn out okay.

  3. We can never hear the words “don’t be discouraged” enough. In a world of doubts we need to hear God’s voice and truths above the noise and reminders from people like you bring us back to where we need to be. Sunday blessings!

  4. By the grace of God, I don’t have a broken relationship at this time. Over the years though, I have experienced deep darkness of my soul.

  5. My husband is the Children’s Ministry Director at our church and just returned from our children’s camp – and I still cannot get over how HE REDEEMED my life. Once again HE reminded me that HE IS FAITHFUL! There was a time in my life that I was so very far away from the LORD. But He never gave up on me! I sat there as my oldest son was doing the altar call for a session that my husband had just taught, he was so broken that he couldn’t even sing….. I looked to the left and my youngest daughter was lifting her hand in praise. Moments later, my youngest son stood up and praised the Lord for saving him. Right in front of him, sat my son-in-law and my oldest grandson. Immediately, the Lord reminded me of where He brought me from, and the blessings of my obedience. I am still in AWE of His presence at camp – as well as His presence in my life and in the lives of my husband and my precious family. ONLY GOD can do something so great as this!

  6. Happy Anniversary to you and your husband, Danise! Amen – God is ready and able to work in our lives. On baited breath awaiting the arrival of the book. :)

  7. “Don’t be discouraged… it’s often darkest just before the dawn, call out to God and keep calling out to Him, then get ready to stand in awe of all He has prepared for you. God will move on your behalf…”

Love this! Excited to have won last week’s giveaway! Thanks Danise!

  8. Danise, your words provide hope and encouragement in the darkest of places! Keep being the sweet aroma of CHRIST! You were made for this! Peace and many blessings to you, Love! :-)

  9. Thanks for the reminder about discouragement! God has told us so many times in Scriptures, “Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged!” I need to remember that in the bleak times.
    I found you blog via Lyli’s link-up.
