Holding on Tightly

I hold on even though the wind of resistance presses hard against my grip

HOPE calls out to me … Hold on tightly

Doubt tempts me to loosen my grasp.

HOPE  quietly reminds me… God is faithful

Discouragement threatens to steal my joy.

HOPE embraces my heart … His joy becomes my strength

The enemy of my soul speaks lies to bring fear.

HOPE  removes all fear …. My faith is built on the truth of God’s unfailing promises.

Hebrews 10:23

“Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we say we have, for God can be trusted to keep His promise.”

Holding on to hope is a daily choice we all have to make.   Oddly, I’ve discovered that holding on tightly to hope can only be accomplished by letting go.

I hold on by letting go.

I let go of my own strength and understanding and I cling to the unfailing love of God and trust Him.

We hold on to our life, and the mission in our life, not because we can do anything special, but because HE can do all things He desires through us! :)

hi, denise – spoke/wrote the same idea today – found you to my left on Coffee link. Yes, our job is to hold on. Eyes on Jesus, I fear less – not sure I not fear altogether while holding on, but at least my hands/eyes are in the right place – maybe with age (more) i will not be anxious at all while hoping on God. Great post!

Love this: “Oddly, I’ve discovered that holding on tightly to hope can only be accomplished by letting go. I hold on by letting go. I let go of my own strength and understanding and I cling to the unfailing love of God and trust Him.” That is EXACTLY what I have found as well!! Amen & Hallelujah : )
