Bible verses for PEACE

When life gets unsettled, stressed or sad God’s gift of  P E A C E comforts us in ways that can not be matched by anything else.

Over the years I’ve found that reading Bible verses out loud builds my faith and creates a peaceful atmosphere.

Here are a few Bible verses for PEACE; as you read them may they bring freedom to your mind and comfort to your soul.

“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lordmake me dwell in safety.” Psalm 4:8

“The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.” Psalm 29:11

“A heart at peace gives life to the body” Proverbs 14:30

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” Romans 5:1

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:3

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16

May your days and nights be filled with God’s P E A C E this week!

  1. What a great compilation. Thanks for putting it together! I’ve always loved John 14:27 because Jesus says His peace is different from the peace the world will offer us. When we display that peace in turmoil, I believe it is a great way to share our faith with those who see us. Glad to be your neighbor at #RahRahLinkUp this morning!

  2. These verses are great. All ready this morning I was telling myself that God has given me ‘peace that passes all understanding’.

    Thanks

  3. I just found your blog! I’m in love. This post is so encouraging, this is totally a God-thing. Because I’m actually trying to have more of Gods peace in my life. Sometimes anxiety and stress just clutter my mind. Thank you so sharing these verses, definitely going to look these up in my bible tomorrow.
