This past weekend I had a funeral and a wedding to go to. Both on the same day, one after the other.
I couldn’t help thinking about this scripture.
Ecclesiastes 3:1,4
“For everything there is a season,
at time for every activity under heaven…
A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.”
This Saturday, first it was a time to cry.
A time to mourn with my friend as she said good bye to her husband here on this earth.
Later that same day, it was a time to laugh and rejoice with a young couple filled with the hope of their future together.
One married couple parted by death and the other joined in marriage.
Life is designed to give us many different opportunities and experiences.
Some of them we cheerfully welcome with open arms. While others seem to be forced upon us unwilling.
Through it all, God is always there to hold and comfort us in our time of need and to rejoice with us in our time of joy.
We can face every season with faith, knowing that God has said that each season has its place and purpose.
What ever season you find yourself in today…
May you be filled with the beautiful presence of God and every good and perfect gift He has for you.

Wow! What a full-circle day. And what a great reminder that no matter what the circumstances, God doesn’t change. Thanks!
It was quite a day and you’re right God doesn’t change. Thanks so much for stopping by! Blessings Michelle
wow what a change in feelings in one day… my best friend was widowed about ten years ago and the heartache she carried for almost seven years was really hard. I walked with her through it and then I helped her find ‘the new love’ of her life, so not only were we good friends but she trusted me as a matchmaker too.
What a wonderful blessing it is to have friends through all the seasons of life… “a friend at all times” thanks so much for stopping by

Hi Denise, I’m hopping over from NOBH!
I can relate to the kind of day you’re describing. One in particular left me scratching my head and wondering what on earth God could possibly be up to. I’ll never understand those events but faith (and experience) tells me that I can trust.
He is GOOD.
Hugs from VA,
Susan
Hi Susan! Thanks so much for stopping by! You are so right He is good and yes, even when we don’t understand, we can trust him… Hugs back!

We lived through the seasons of both..
The loss of a child and then so many seasons of joy.
So thankful for those like you–
Who recognize those time to weep with those who weep and who truly rejoice with those who rejoice.
Blessings,
Kara @ The Chuppies/NOBH
