5 Ways to Have a Great Day

“For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.”

~ John 1:16 ~

I have learned that most of the time experiencing “great days” comes from intentional choices.

We have the ability to shape our day with perspective and attitude.

God’s mercies and gifts to us are new every morning.

We are constantly surrounded by ‘grace upon grace’ from God’s fullness.

Here are 5 ways to remind us of His fullness and help us have a great day…

5 Ways to Have a Great Day

Grace

Take time to actually receive all the abundant gifts showered over you from above…

“For God is able to bless you abundantly so that in all things, at all times, having all you need, you will abound in every good work.” – 2 Corinthians 9:8

Love

Live your day like you are loved, because you are!  Right where you are today, you are enough.  Nothing disqualifies you from His love and His blessings through Christ Jesus.

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.”  – 1 John 4:16

Hope

Hold on to the light of God’s promises; they shine brighter than the darkness of despair.

“Without wavering let us hold tightly to the hope we say we have for God can be trusted to keep his promise.” – Hebrews 10:23

Thankful

Choose to see the good in your life and appreciate every single blessing. Gratitude releases you to enjoy the gifts God has given you.

always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” – Ephesians 5:20

Peace

Take a moment to breathe in the peace of God.  Let Him remind you that it is well with your soul…

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” – John 14:27

  1. Wow, Danise! If we lived our lives taking these simple steps, our whole vision and impact would shift in HUGE ways.

Thanks for paving the way with Scripture.

Blessings to ya’ as we start this week together …

    1. Hi Linda! It is so amazing isn’t it? Our small intentional efforts can make such a big difference. Grace upon grace to you and your family Linda. You are an inspiration. Blessings! Hugs! and continued prayers for your family

  2. This morning I woke up feeling blah…. really wanting to climb back in my bed and NOT face the day.
As I begin to pray and ask God to change my thoughts, I realized that I could be negative and have bad thoughts, OR I could choose the positive and thank HIM for all that HE is!!

As I drove to work a song reminded me…. HE is for me, He will never leave me, He will fight for me!

I am looking to who HE is today, trying to keep my focus on HIM!

    1. This is so good Piper! The Bible says that David encouraged himself in the Lord! It’s so awesome that you chose the positive instead of the negative thoughts and encouraged yourself with God’s truth! grace upon grace to you!

  3. God’s Grace is what makes my Day Blessed. I am so thankful that we Have the privilege to be Loved by A all the time on time Faithful God who loves each of us unconditionally. 4. Such great reminders. I spent so many of my younger days gloomy but thankfully the light came on…we can be intentional and choose to have a great day! So thankful for grace upon grace.

  5. Reading this was a great start to my day. Instead of getting all caught up with the chaos at work, I am challenging myself to step back and admire the grace and beauty that God is working in my life. Blessings to you Danise.

  6. I loved every line, but I think the part about Hope, the way you expressed it stands out most to me today…

“Hold on to the light of God’s promises; they shine brighter than the darkness of despair.”

Thank you for sharing this today…also, for your beautiful graphics with scriptures. They always bless me!

  7. I love all these ways to remember God’s fullness, Danise. This one especially comforted me – “Live your day like you are loved, because you are! Right where you are today, you are enough. Nothing disqualifies you from His love and His blessings through Christ Jesus.” NOTHING disqualifies us from His love. Such an encouraging thought. Thank you!

  8. We had a wise pastor that taught us to praise the Lord on the good days and on the bad days do the same. It has really made a difference in my walk. He also said that nothing can get to us unless it passes thro’ the Father’s hands. Thanks for the reminder that our attitude effects our day. Blessings.

  9. My favorite part of this post is when you encourage us to live our day like we are loved, because we are! Such an important truth for us to remember each and every day of our lives. Blessings to you!

  10. What a great verse, “Without wavering let us hold tightly to the hope we say we have for God can be trusted to keep his promise.” – Hebrews 10:23 Stopping by as your neighbor on #TellHisStory

  11. “Take a moment to breathe in the peace of God.” Yes, Danise, I need to remember that every breath comes from God and His peace reigns in that air. Such a gift.
Your reminders are good for me today for I have just returned from a vacation and was just too busy unpacking and doing “stuff” … needing to slow down and touch the hand of God.
